§ 01   The observation

There is always somewhere to gather. People show up, do the thing, and leave. What's missing is a place to actually talk.

Surface-level interactions don't become lasting relationships. Real connection needs structure. Facilitation, intention, a room designed for dialogue instead of activity.

You can be surrounded by your community, and still feel like a stranger.

§ 02   What we're building

Three formats. One quiet commitment: we don't leave conversation to chance.

Themed conversation zones
Health, fitness, careers, culture, politics, faith, love, life in diaspora. Each zone is a dedicated space with a host who keeps the room in motion, so the room has actual terrain, not small talk.

Speed-meet rotations
Five to ten minute hot-seat rounds, structured so you meet everyone in the room by the end of the night. No standing against a wall. No one left out.

§ 03   How membership works

Vouched for, not voted on.

Every member is vouched for by someone already inside. Strangers can apply, but go through a real review. No anonymous members. Everyone is known.

A short form: who you are, what you do, who you know. A light background check for legitimacy. No essays, no interviews.

A warm welcome into the community chat, an intro to the other members, and your invite to the next event. The easiest way to land softly.

Propose members. Propose plans. Help shape the room. You're not a guest anymore. You're part of a network that actually shows up for each other.

§ 03.1   House rules

We plan frequent events ourselves, thoughtfully and consistently. Members can also host their own, once they're in. Both are part of the room.

Respect the room.
Every member, treated with respect, in the room and after. No creepiness, rudeness, pitching, or soliciting. You vouched someone in, you own how they show up.

Growth by trust, not by virality.
Each accepted member can propose new members. The community grows slowly. Quality over size, always.

A balanced room, by design.
Every event is curated so no one is outnumbered. The room stays comfortable, for the quieter voices and the ones still finding theirs.

Consent on camera.
Ask before you photograph. Ask before you post. No one's day becomes content without their say so.
§ 03.2   Before you ask

A few things worth knowing.

Am I Arab enough to join? +
If you identify as Arab, you're welcome to apply. We read every application on its own merits.
What if I don't know any existing members? +
Apply anyway. Unvouched applications are reviewed by community leaders. It just takes a little longer.
How do you keep the room balanced? +
Every event is curated with balance in mind, so no group is outnumbered, and everyone feels comfortable showing up as themselves.
Is there a membership fee? +
No membership fee. Events are free by default. Any event that costs money is decided on by the group, and never runs as a profit center.
How often are events? +
At least two a month to start. Deliberately not more. Frequency will grow only if depth keeps up.
